Admissions - Jackson Preparatory & Early College

Enrollment Process:

At JPEC, we strive to make our enrollment process simple, welcoming, and informative. Each year, an Open Enrollment window, typically from March to April, is approved by the JPEC Board of Governors. This is the best time for new students to apply for the upcoming school year. Below is a step-by-step guide to our enrollment process:

Step 1: Apply

Families can apply online during the Open Enrollment window or anytime throughout the year.

Step 2: Tell Us About Your Student

Once you apply, our enrollment team will reach out to gather basic information about your student, including:

  • Their current school and district of residence
  • Interests such as art, athletics, music, robotics, and more
  • Any additional details that help us understand how we can best support them

This information helps us start building a picture of your student to share with our school leader before the next step.

Step 3: Meet with a School Leader

We believe this step is essential to setting your student up for success. You and your student will meet with a school leader to discuss their goals, concerns, and interests. To ensure we fully understand your student’s academic background, we request the following documents before or during this meeting:

  • Transcripts
  • Discipline logs (if applicable)
  • Any other relevant student records

This meeting allows us to provide the best support for your child’s transition into JPEC.

Step 4: Complete Digital Enrollment Forms

All enrollment forms are housed in PowerSchool. Families must complete all required forms before Orientation or before the student’s first day. Required documents include:

  • Birth certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Guardian’s driver’s license

These forms ensure we can create a personalized schedule that fits your student’s needs.

Step 5: Attend Orientation

Orientation is an exciting time for students to:

Meet their classmates, teachers, and administration

 Receive their class schedule

 Get their school picture taken

 Have any last-minute questions answered

If a student transfers mid-year, we will schedule a meeting to review any questions or concerns and pair them with a buddy to help them navigate their first day with confidence.

We can’t wait to welcome you to JPEC! Apply today to start your journey with us!"
