Wellness Committee. What does wellness really mean for JPEC? We want our students to be supported in every way possible, not just in their academic journey. We have an amazing staff member, Melissa Shaw, that has taken on the task of starting a Wellness Committee here at JPEC. School wellness committees typically assess the school health environment, programs and policies in place and identify ways to strengthen these to improve the health of students and staff. We’d love to have a group of parents, students, and even community members that would be willing to volunteer their time to create exciting and beneficial ways to support JPEC.
We are in the beginning stages of developing a wellness committee here at Jackson Preparatory and Early College. We are reaching out, seeking those of you who would like to be a part of this new journey to ensure we are putting our students’ health and well-being as a top priority. The wellness committee provides a way to inform teachers, staff, students and families about the work the school is doing to improve the health and academic success of its students, staff, and community.
If you are interested in joining this journey or have any questions please contact Melissa Shaw at Melissa.Shaw@jacksonpec.org for more information.
